Coastal holiday rental

The owners of this coastal holiday rental wanted to create something that felt cosy and characterful, avoiding the tendency of some holiday rentals to be “beige” and soulless. Different tones of blue and a sparing use of nautical artwork and wallpaper help to give the scheme a costal context without the usual cliches of stripes or shells. A deep blue was chosen for the ceiling and walls in the bedroom to create a soothing and romantic sleeping area while in contrast the adjoining lounge area feels light and open.  Vintage artwork and different textures provide warmth and character. A cottage kitchen completes the scheme with small homely touches to welcome visitors.
